I've never seen self-rising used in a pound cake recipe, so I'm thinking plain all-purpose flour. The eggs and the beating give it the rise and dense texture it needs.

The cold over pound cake calls for 3 cups of flour. Is that all purpose or self rising?

I need to post my Aunt Tour's "5-Flavor Pound Cake" recipe sometime soon.
I've tasted lots of variations of that recipe, but hers was always the best!
