this is a great pound cake for this time of the year it smells so good while it's baking

Ingredients

1 box
yellow cake mix
1 box
instant vanilla pudding (3.9 oz) this is what makes the cake dense
4
eggs
1 c
eggnog
1/4 c
vegetable oil
2 tsp
rum extract
1 1/2 tsp
nutmeg

FOR THE GLAZE:

1 c
powdered sugar
1/4 tsp
rum extract
4 tsp
eggnog

How to Make Eggnog Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a mixing bowl combine all the cake ingredients and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • 2The batter will become very thick. I suggest buttering and flouring your bundt pan and don't use nonstick spray for the easiest release.
  • 3Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until done. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes then turn cake upside down to release from pan,
  • 4Let cool completely. To make the glaze mix all the glaze ingredients then with a wooden spoon pour over cake letting it drip down the sides.
