I love your Bundt Cake cookbook. Thanks for including one of my recipes. Since you are discussing last names, before getting married to my current husband, my maiden name was HOGAN, and now I am married to a MOGAN, JUST ONE LETTER DIFFERENT FROM my maiden name. smile. Yes they are both Irish names.
Oh my, my husband's family were from Ohio and Georgia, though his immediate family are from north Alabama. My maiden name was McCarn, Irish as you can get.
My favorite cousins were Hall's, and I married a Hall, and kept the name after the divorce. Now all the Hall's in my family have passed, except for my second cousin Carmin, who is my cousin Joe'D's only living child. I miss him terribly. We were born the same year, 1954, and he passed in 2006, and his 14 year old son passed 7 months and 28 days before that in the same year.
