Thank you for such a great recipe! Had to have a Texas chili in this book and this looked so gooood, no wonder it got a blue ribbon! Many blessings to you as well!

Tammy, you've got me thinking about doing a second Soups cookbook. Just like chili, there are hundreds of soups out there just waiting to be discovered. And I LOVE soup!

I did it Janet!! Thank you for the wonderful idea!! I really would not have thought to do a Chili cookbook unless you had not suggested it! I love this book!! Most of the cooks in here I know and love and love thier recipes as well including yours! You had alot of ones I wanted to add as well. See you started something here and I will need to do a 2nd book now! LOL! THANK YOU my friend!! XXOO

Ellen, you were the first one on pinch that I felt a kindred spirit with, probably because we do have so much in common! I am so glad we became friends and I too feel we have been friends forever! I did not see your vegetarian chili! See, I will have to do a second chili book! I know my family loves vegetarian chili so I will be pinching it! Thank you again for your friendship and the bonus of your wonderful recipes! Huggs!!

Susan, you do have alot of chili recipes! I had a hard time choosing! I love all your recipes and had to add your newest one using the iron skillet! I think I am going to do a 2nd chili book as there were too many I wanted that I could not include. I will pinching that cheese spread! Thank you for the great recipes!

Carol, I knew you probably had some good chili recipes to share and haven't gotten to them yet. I think I will have to do a 2nd book as there were so many good ones I couldn't post that I wanted to. I will wait for awhile on that. :)

Tammy, I did notice the dedication and I am so pleased to be mentioned. I too, like many others, feel that you are a lifelong friend even though we've never met. We have so much in common, don't we?
Now, I don't know if you have seen my vegetarian chili recipe but it is quite good. In fact, I think I almost like it better than my everyday chili. I also have another one I haven't posted yet, partly because I don't know how it will go over. I like it, my sister (who gave it to me) likes it, but everyone I've made it for doesn't like it. And wouldnt you know, now I can't find it. But I will keep looking. In the meantime, check out this one:

Thanks for including my 2 recipes in here. You can tell by looking through my recipe box that the family loves chili - I have about 6 chili recipes! Chili is the one response I get from husband and kids when I say, "I just don't know what to make for dinner tonight; what would you all like?"
Another winner, and easy to put together is a fantastic chili spread we use as an hors d'ouevre: Chili-Cheese Spread

Tammy this is such a great Chili Cookbook, and with the cold weather upon us, your book sure will come in handy. Thanks for including my recipe for Rose Mary's Chili Con Carne .I also like the side items and the Chili fries, and the Breads to go with it. You did yourself proud as usual.
