But these recipes are nothing to cry about. They are as awesome as the cooks who make them.
I actually have three (maybe four) novels underway, Sue. One is a murder mystery set on the campus of Notre Dame, where I used to work. One is a ghost story, and one is a Stephen King-type supernatural novel. The "maybe" is a fictionalized biography of sorts, based on my father's early life.
I haven't written a word in over a year--no time. When I write, I lose myself in it, and I just have too many other things going on. Plus, I spend WAY too much time on here and Facebook--lol!
Wetherly is a pretty name. I like it also Ellen. What kind of a novel are you writing? Romance etc. I love Andy also; one of my favorites. I tried to get a very close friend to name her son, Andy! :)
My children's names are Mark and Terri. My daughter, Terri was named after Terry Moore, an actress who I always loved as a young girl growing up. I actually used to play paperdolls and I named my paperdoll, Terry. I always thought it was such a pretty name. It stuck with me through the years until I had a daughter. I didn't even have to think about a name, I just knew. I just spelled it a bit different. :) My son is named after his great great Grandfather Mark who I used to babysit for when I was in high school. He lived to be 100 years old and I loved him so much. He was such a gentle and kind person with, oh my, lots of stories to tell. It was fun being with him.
I have a favorite girl's name that I've only ever seen once: Wetherly. I'm using it in a novel I'm writing, which I haven't worked on in over a year! I saw the name in a publication I used to work for, and it just struck me as so unusual and pretty. I used to say that if I ever had a little girl I would name her Emily--I still think it's a beautiful name. My son's name is Andrew--Andy for short.
Oh..that's awesome! Lots of people up here name their babies from Alaska things...such as areas like Denali,Dawson,Kodiak,Yukon,Willow- how about Piper after a plane etc. That is Sarah Palin's daughter's name and Willow also. Gosh I can't think today but there are lots. Some are really cute.
Sure...you just told me...honestly, don't mind me please....I don't know about me....lol I love, love the name Sydney...I really do...if I had a baby and I won't...haha I would use that name...It's beautiful!!
I missed this one too! Oh my goodness...I guess my back interfered one too many times. I so apologize. It is so nice of you to add my recipes to the wonderful recipe books you create. I really once again love your theme and title! 'The Onion Book'! I really had fun going through it.
Thank U Ellen for including my soup recipe....we had it tonight for dinner...love the book too...love onions so this is a great book to refer back to!!
