Ingredients
- 1 - 9-inch frozen ready-to-bake pie shell, thawed (or 1 bottom pie crust from scratch)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 medium sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
How To Make tasty onion tart

Step 1Bake the pie shell in a preheated 350-degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until light golden; set aside.

Step 2Melt the butter in a medium skillet over high heat. Add the onions, saute 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and saute 2 to 4 more minutes, or until tender. Place onions in the pie shell.

Step 3In a medium bowl, mix together the eggs, sour cream, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over onions. Sprinkle with paprika.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until sides and crust are golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Step 5Cut into wedges and serve with a green salad and a fruit dish.
