Ingredients

  • 3 large yellow onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 package (6 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 package (6 oz.) swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 package burrito-size tortillas

How To Make onion roll appetizers

  • Step 1
Place chopped onions in a large skillet with the butter and cook over medium heat until onions are tender, about 20 minutes. If onions start to get too brown, reduce heat.
  • Step 2
Sir in the cream cheese and the grated Swiss. Keep stirring until cheeses are melted.
  • Step 3
Spread the mixture on tortillas and roll them up. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 4
The next day, place tortillas on a greased baking sheet and cut into 1-inch pieces. Bake, standing upright, in a preheated 375-degree oven for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
