It's still a neat name for a town. I know a few people in Timpson but not many. Ritters, Hudsons, Corder

I had a friend in Timpson! Amazingly, Cut and Shoot was only incorporated as a town in 1969! It was given the title 'city' just 6 yrs ago in 2006. It's one of those little areas, that if you blink while passing the sign, you'd never know you went through it :o)

Can't say that I have, Barbie. Where is it located? Have you ever heard of the song by Tex Ritter, Tenaha, Timpson, Bobo and Blair? I live close to these small towns/communities.

Hey, Gail, I just wonder, you've been through Cut-and-Shoot, have you ever heard of Hoop and Holler? Our Texas does indeed have some downright fun and colorful town names. :)

You are more than welcome, Holly. The first time I traveled through through Cut and Shoot, I thought it was the coolest name ever. My brother-in-law and sis-in-law live in Montgomery and we live in Carthage (East Texas off US 59). that name just kind of stayed with me!

Gail what a great cookbook. I was just talking to a friend yesterday about how much I miss Texas and how I miss the Mexican and BBQ foods that are so incredible. She too used to live in Texas and we admitted that a piece of our heart is completely devoted and will always be to Texas.
I long to be "Deep in the heart of Texas" but I'm in "The Heart of it all" Ohio....both the mottos from the state. Love both places!!!
