Ingredients

  • 2.5 lbs. - ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced paper thin(or how you like)
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes (whatever heat desired)
  • 1 - jalapenos, fresh, minced
  • 1 box velveeta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons cumin
  • 4 pinches salt & pepper
  • .25/.50 cup milk
  • 1 package tortilla chips

How To Make nacho's texas style

  • Step 1
Brown ground beef, onion, and jalapeno. Drain grease in a colander.
  • Step 2
Return to pan.Add garlic, cumin, chili powder,s&p. Heat on low,and stir in spices. Now you have taco meat by the way.No need for the package taco seasoning. This is much better.
  • Step 3
Add Rotel tomatoes, and the Velveeta cheese(cubed).Continue stirring till cheese is melted. If it is to thick, thin with milk.
  • Step 4
When done pour over chips. Also good in Oodles of noodles for kids lunch.I always make fresh guacamole, and pico de gallo to go with it.
