    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c
    lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    red chiles, ground
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2
    jalapeno peppers, seeded
  • 2
    cloves minced fresh garlic
  • 12 oz
    tomato paste
  • 12 oz
    beer

How to Make Spicy Texas Barbecue Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Make sure jalapenos are chopped and seeded.
  2. Heat all ingredients to boiling in a 2 quart saucepan.
  3. Reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
