Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 - garlic clove
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons green chiles, drained, seeded, chopped
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 1 can stewed tomatoes, chopped
- 1 can mixed vegetables, with liquid

Step 1Heat oil in 2-quart pot.

Step 2Cook onion and green pepper until tender, but not browned.

Step 3Add garlic and stir in flour, chili powder, basil, oregano, chiles, chicken broth and diced chicken.

Step 4Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 5Stir in tomatoes and vegetables and cook 10 minutes longer.
