One of my dear friends passed this on to me great on chicken beef brisket ribs even sandwich or sloppy joes.

apple cider vinegar
5 Tbsp
brown sugar ( i prefer dark )
5 Tbsp
1/2 Tbsp
black pepper
1/2 Tbsp
dry mustard
1/2 Tbsp
onion powder
1/2 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
lemon juice, fresh
1 1/2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
cayenne pepper to taste
1/2 Tbsp
liquid smoke flavoring

How to Make Smokey Texas BBQ Sauce


  • 1Stir all ingredients together, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hr stirring occassionaly. Store left over sauce in a covered plastic container for up to 2 weeks. It's delicious. I also use this for brisket, chicken, and sloppy joes. :)
