  • 2 c
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp
    brown sugar ( i prefer dark )
  • 5 Tbsp
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • ·
    cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    liquid smoke flavoring

How to Make Smokey Texas BBQ Sauce


  1. Stir all ingredients together, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hr stirring occassionaly. Store left over sauce in a covered plastic container for up to 2 weeks. It's delicious. I also use this for brisket, chicken, and sloppy joes. :)
