Amish & Mennonite Recipes
Kimi Gaines
I have such a love for the Amish and Mennonite Communities. My mom was raised Mennonite when she was a girl. She left the church and her family at 16 years of age. It was what you might call a Rumspringa, but if she were to come home without joining the church she would be accepted. I love her stories about my grandma in the kitchen and we still make some of the recipes today. Most will be Amish and some will be my momma's.

Kimi, thank you for including my recipe in your cookbook. We visit our local Amish community at least twice a year. Always come away with lots of local goodies!

I think it is all in house...I will ask the girls on "Chatterbox", they are always up on everything.

I do not know--are you affiliated with a bookseller or only with just a pinch? Maybe they could be contacted?

My friend is from an area of the country with many amish people--and some of these recipes look very familiar--good luck on your book sales:)
