Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    orange rine
  • 1 1/2 c
    orange juice, fresh
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    horseradish mustard
  • 5 lb
    boneless pork roast
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    thyme
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How to Make Amish Roasted Pork with orange sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. in a sauce pan combine
    sugar
    cornstarch
    flour
    and orange rine and whisk til flour is disolved
  2. add
    orange juice
    water
    lemon juice
    soy sauce
    horseradish mustard
    whisk til combined 3 to 5 minutes
  3. place the roast into shallow baking pan and tie the roast so it don't fall apart, NO web stockings

    in a small bowl combine equal parts of thyme, ground ginger, salt and pepper and rub on top and sides of roast. then pour sauce mixture over the roast and bake at 325 for 3 hours
