amish layered dinner
This is a very easy dish, it tastes like meatloaf over scalloped potatoes with very little effort. No need to pre-brown anything, just slice, chop, layer and bake. This serves the 8 of us, but I know my teenaged boys could demolish a whole pan if I let them. I'll try to get a better picture next time I make it.

Ingredients
- 2 cups ground beef
- 2 cups potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup green peppers, diced
- 2 cups canned diced tomatoes

Step 1Grease a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper before adding the next layer.

Step 2Place potatoes in the bottom of the casserole Add the layer of celery. Add the layer of hamburger

Step 3Add the layer of onions. Add the green pepper. Pour the tomatoes over the mixture.

Step 4Bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees F.
