“Have you ever wondered what the filling of a cheese blintz would taste like with a chewy chocolaty brownie? Recently, while dining at my grandparents’ retirement home, we were served the best cheese blintzes we have ever put in our mouths. I dashed into my kitchen to try and recreate them.” – Angie

“This is the easiest recipe but everyone says wow when they see it. And they’re even more impressed when they taste it! It’s certainly one of my favorites. Individually serves four of your favorite breakfast or brunchgoers and is easily multiplied. My mother-in-law taught me this one, and she is a 5-star chef in Barbados!” – Kimberly

“These are light and fluffy and can be served for breakfast or anytime during the day. You can serve them plain for a less sugary treat or sweeter with the glaze if you like. I took them to our dog show breakfast every year, and they were gone before any other breakfast item.” – Roz

“A galette is basically a free-formed one-crust pie. It can be a dessert, main dish, or appetizer. When you think of it that way, anything can be put into a galette! This is one that I came up with when I was thinking of making fried apples for dinner.” – Teresa

“This is so delicious and has been a hit every time I’ve made it. It is easy and looks very elegant when served. Great for overnight guests. No syrup is needed for this. The brown sugar, butter, and apples provide all the wonderful flavor and of course, the creme topping doesn’t hurt either.” – Shannon

“If you’ve never eaten a scone, you are missing out on one of the most delicious teatime and breakfast treats. They are heavenly with clotted cream. If you’ve eaten one and thought they were a crumbly mess that tasted like cardboard, then you’ve never eaten a good scone. You need to do yourself a favor and make this recipe. The key to lighter scones is not to overwork the dough. Knead the dough until it just comes together, and you will have a fantastic result. Trader Joe’s has dried orange-flavored cranberries which work well, but cherries are my favorite.” – cassie

“Here is my version of apple fritters with cinnamon and nutmeg inside. I had a recipe for them and hadn’t made them in years, however, this morning I decided to play around and tweak things. You can reduce the salt if you are concerned about sodium. You don’t have to put anything on them, or just add a sprinkle of sugar. I used what apples I had on hand, Gala and Jazz. Firm, but are sweet and slightly tart. If you use Granny Smith, these will be tart so keep that in mind. The apples inside the fried fritters should be slightly cooked and not mushy.” – Sea

“I was thinking about individual pumpkin bread. I wanted something easy-to-serve, so I decided to try this change to my favorite biscuit recipe. I’d made pumpkin muffins but still wanted something a little easier to handle for my friends who have difficulty manipulating things with their hands. It worked! Very moist and lightly sweet… unless you add a topping or sweet extra!” – Sandi

“I love grilled ham and cheese, so I wanted to use those flavors in a breakfast-type dish. I came up with this frittata, and it turned out great. Call me crazy, but I even added a little dollop of sour cream to my slice. I tried this out on my husband, and he loved it. This recipe is simple, quick, and very filling.” – Lindsay

“I love using buttermilk in my recipes, and I altered one that called for cream and baking powder. A half pound of breakfast sausage may be substituted for the bacon and is as good. This is a great breakfast alternative to a sweet scone. Great grab ‘n go breakfast when running late for school, work, etc.” – Sarah

“The cayenne and dry mustard add some spice to this dish. Adjust to suit your taste. You can also serve this with a side of salsa. I have also made it with low-fat options (egg beaters, low-fat milk, fat-free half and half), and all have turned out well. This needs to sit in the fridge overnight (which is why the prep time looks so long!).” – Debra

“These baked doughnuts are full of autumn goodness. They are very quick and easy to make!” – Sue

“These come out just like the ones in the tube! Make your own and use it just like the refrigerated dough. It makes approximately the equivalent of two tubes of dough. I usually fill the crescents with fillers before baking/last rise. Options include extra spinach artichoke dip, leftover ham with cheese and cream cheese, or pepperoni, cheese, and pizza sauce. Baking times may vary, though. Use your imagination!” – Sharon
