cheddar-bacon buttermilk scone

I love using buttermilk in my recipes and altered one calling for cream and baking powder. 1/2 pound of breakfast sausage may be substituted for the bacon and is equally as good. This is a great breakfast alternative to a sweet scone. Great grab 'n go breakfast when running late for school, work, etc. Pictured is the scone using breakfast sausage.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Definitely great for breakfast, but also TREMENDOUS alongside soup or a salad for lunch!
