My family prefer their string beans to be be more on the softer side. The recipe mesurements below are approximate, I always eye ball the amounts. I suggest adding salt & pepper a little at a time. I suggest you add the salt as after your string beans are ready. The bacon will add salt as well so be careful not to over do it. :)
