As with most cooks, I grew up at my mother's side watching her cook for our large family. I have five older sisters and was the baby. My eledest sister was 20 when I was born a month and a half after her first child. Yes, I was an aunt before I was born which was the special day of Halloween.
I never began cooking myself until I was married at twenty. I wanted my husband to come home to good meals so armed with cookbooks, momma, and the girls he definitely ate well. Hundreds or maybe thousands of recipes later I still enjoy cooking for friends and loved ones.
