We have a fun family tradition of hunting for “road cabbage!” When cabbage is in season, we’ll often see trucks going by loaded with cabbage heads. Naturally, some of them fall off – and that’s when we spring into action! We grab our share of “road cabbage” to use in some of our favorite cabbage recipes (obviously we wash it first). From cabbage rolls to soups to runzas, these recipes are all delicious meals our family loves. Not only is cabbage a tasty addition to a recipe, but it’s also a healthy option when you’re craving comfort food. Check out these cabbage recipes that help you use up a head of cabbage!

“So easy and tasty, this one-pot dish is perfect when you want to throw together a quick meal. Chicken apple sausage makes this different from other recipes. It's smoky, sweet, and savory all at once. The sweetness is slight but there. Almost very faint cinnamon which is amazing with the potatoes and cabbage. Everyone is going to ask for seconds.” - Kitchen Crew

“I've made this multiple times and passed the recipe on several time. It is terrific!” - Jo
