Notes from the Test Kitchen:
What a great way to ring in the New Year with a super easy crock pot meal! This obviously has your traditional black-eyed peas and cabbage, but it also was a really good flavor. The lil' smokies add slight smokiness. Served with cornbread as Robin suggests, this is quite the New Year's Day meal.

1 lb
little smokies, cut each one in half
4 can(s)
black-eyed peas, with jalapenos if you like a kick
1/2 medium
onion, chopped
3 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 medium
cabbage head, sliced thin
3 c
chicken broth
