This is the perfect New Year's Day lunch. The broth is so tasty, you will want it throughout the year. It doesn't get any easier than this - just put everything in the Crock Pot and wait until done.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

What a great way to ring in the New Year with a super easy Crock Pot meal! This recipe has the traditional black-eyed peas and cabbage and is delicious. We used black-eyed peas with jalapenos and it added a little heat to the dish. The slight smokiness from the little sausages is lovely. Serve with cornbread as Robin suggests, and this is quite the New Year's Day meal.
