I was raised in the country and have been taught to cook from scratch from 9 years old. My Mother taught me everything from cooking from scratch to canning fruits and vegetables from the garden. We also butcher our own pigs and beef which we froze or canned some of the pork products. She taught me to make homemade noodles and slippery pot pie as well as one of our home favorites saurkaurt dumplings. She has passed and I truly miss her.
