I grew up in a small little southern town smack dab in the middle of the Bible Belt. Sunday’s after church always meant gathering at my Granny and Pops house for lunch. Granny was an excellent cook as was my Grandmother Elsea. Grandmother was famous for her delectable fried apple pies. I remember her kitchen being so small but marveling at the food that came out of it. She taught me about canning too. Still, the best cook in our family was my mother. Mom was not just an excellent cook but she was a suburb baker ! I was lucky to have these wonderful women as my teachers.
