For the most part, I'm a "dump cook." You know, dump in a little of this and a little of that, and it works...somehow. My grandmother taught me to do that.My favorite story about Grandma Starbuck (yes, that was her name) is about watching her make baking powder biscuits every morning. She'd use a regular teaspoon for measuring, and would put a spoonful of baking powder in her palm. Then she'd use the spoon to spread it out in her hand and "knead" it a bit. She'd take up a spoonful from her palm and drop it in the batter, then throw in what was left! To this day, I cannot remember the recipe!
