In the picture I posted, I am up front in the middle. The others are my sister, niece, and daughter. I grew up in Michigan on a small farm. There were 8 people, mom, dad, 4 brothers and one sister. We raised our own meat, milk, eggs and vegetables. We churned our own butter at times, mom made cottage cheese and canned LOTS of things. We had a lot of wholesome foods. I sure miss a lot of that. It was a lot of work but worth it. Now I live in PA and have 2 raised bed gardens because that's all I have the space for lol. I'm thinking about vertical gardening.
