1Cook apples with sugar, butter and spices ahead of time and chill in regrigerator or do this the day before.
Prepare Hot roll mix per pkg directions using 1 tbsp sugar in batter. Follow all steps to rolling out in a rectangle. Spread apple mixture on rectangle and roll up jelly roll style and pinch seam to seal. Cut into 3/4" slices and arrange in 13x9" baking pan and another 9x9" baking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Let rise and bake @375 degrees for 15 min or less, just until they start to brown.
Mix all ingredients for caramel frosting together and let come to a boil. Boil about 3 min then let cool to lukewarm. Pour over apple rolls.
