I fell in love with cooking the day I came home from 7th grade Home Economics and dazzled my family with a meal that didn't come out of a can or a carton. Since then, I've made a point of spending time in places where people are preparing good food. I watch what they do, and learn fast!

Being in the military for 23 years, I traveled all over the world, sampled foods on just about every continent, and an interesting thing I've learned - it's easier to connect with people and create a warm, lasting friendship if you sit down and share food with them.
