I'm a retired social worker and college teacher who was the queen of take-out for years. Never much time to cook and hadn't learned much as a kid. Once retired I embraced homemaking as "my job" and sat about to learn how to cook better. After four years of trying, I'm no longer telling people "I'm not a good cook" anymore. I feel more and more confident and actually have small groups for dinner at times. There is something very caring and comforting about a group of people you love around a table and feeding them.
