I grew up primarily in Alexandria, Virginia and have West Virginia and Southwest Virginia roots from my parents. My career has relocated me to many places to live and work. I have Lived in Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida,Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky and West Virginia. I have traveled to every state except Hawaii, Alaska, Maine and New Hampshire. My recipes are different because of the food I have tasted along the way. My preference will always be southern because I have been so strongly influenced in my cooking by the south.
