Fresh Apple bars
2 cfuji apples, peeled and diced small
2 cgranny smith apples, peeled and diced small
1 cvegetable oil
2 1/2 call purpose flour
1 tspground cinnamon
1 tspground nutmeg
1 cblack walnut pieces
2eggs, well beaten
1 tspbaking soda
1 tspbaking powder
How to Make Fresh Apple bars
- In a large bowl mix the oil and sugar with an electric mixer.
- Add the eggs and mix.
- Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the wet ingredients. Mix together.
- Gently fold on the apples, vanilla and walnuts by hand.
- Bake in a 9x13 pan that has been sprayed with Bakers Joy or grease and flour.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes at 325.
The cake is done when a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean.
Completely cool the cake before it is covered. You can cut into bars once it is cooled.
