Seems I have been in the kitchen most of my life. From Granparents to Parents...cooking was just a part of our lives. I love real Southern food, but I am adventurous in the kitchen and will try just about anything. I have been in remission from Cancer for over a year now and I spend most of my time cooking and trying to help others going through cancer, chemo and radiation. I hope you enjoy my recipes...all are made in my own kitchen...my husband often tells me my Facebook page, Janet's Appalachian Kitchen, usually knows what we are having for supper before he does.
