I grew up eating a lot of various breakfast gravies and one of them was egg gravy. It is so good smothering a hot buttered biscuit for breakfast. If you've never heard of it, give it a try.

Ingredients For egg gravy

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, divided
  • 2 lg
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    while milk
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • salt
    to taste
  • pepper
    to taste

How To Make egg gravy

  • 1
    Melt 1/2 Tbsp butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the eggs and cook until soft scrambled; remove to a bowl.

    Melt the remaining butter and add the flour, whisking till smooth. Cook for 30 seconds. Add in the milk and cream, whisking until it begins to thicken. Add the eggs back in and combine, season with salt and pepper to taste.
