This is a wonderful way to bring the taste of corned beef and noodles together with a little sweet and tangy sauce, it really is delicious.

Ingredients For sweet chili corned beef & noodles

  • 1 1/2 lb
    corned beef brisket
  • 3 c
    dry egg noodles
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sweet chili sauce (asian section of the grocery store)

How To Make sweet chili corned beef & noodles

    Put the corned beef brisket in a pot and cover with water. Add the seasoning packet that comes with the brisket and bring up to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low, cover and cook for 2 1/2 hours adding more water if necessary to keep covered. Remove the brisket to a cutting board and set aside.

    Strain off the remnants of the seasoning packet with a hand strainer (keep the liquid in the pot) then add the noodles to the pot and boil till tender, drain well.

    Meanwhile, cut the meat into bite size pieces, set aside. Melt the butter over medium high heat in a large skillet. Add the onion and sauté till tender, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in the cubed brisket, noodles and sweet chili sauce, combine well and cook for about a minute to heat through.
