When I first started to cook for myself I found a book about casseroles. So easy I thought.
Well I had to find a casserole dish. I got a knife that would sharpen well. I got some wooden spoons. I had to buy some spices besides salt and pepper. I had to figure out how to use the oven in the little place I lived in Santa Cruz. The first thing I made from that book was a Singapore style dish.
