Ingredients For european breakfast sandwich

  • 2 slice
    rustic italian sandwich bread
  • 1 md
  • 2 slice
    proscuitto ham
  • 1-2 md
  • 1-2 slice
    raccolette cheese/any firm cheese
  • 1/4 stick
  • 3 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil

How To Make european breakfast sandwich

  • 1
    In an iron skillet, Medium heat, with extra virgin olive oil, saute the Proscuitto Ham and remove it from the pan

    In the seasoned skillet, caramelize sliced onions, push to the side, to keep warm

    Fry a sunny side up egg in the seasoned skillet and remove from pan

    Butter 2 the slices of bread and brown in skillet. Take one slice and put it aside on a plate, layer Proscuitto ham, sunny side up egg and caramelized onions on top, place aside
  • 5
    Brown and melt cheese in skillet, pour over second slice of browned bread, put sandwich together, slice and enjoy. Serve with utensils
