I spent my early years on the Atlantic Coast. Loved my childhood and teenage years. So many memories of the coast. My mum kept the seafood dream alive by always taking us tuesdays and saturdays to wait for the return of the fishermen from sea and my dad was very much into his savory dishes from the south where chickens were let loose (free range) and fertilizers were frowned on. I am a merger of two wonderful food cultures.
