I grew up cooking with my grandma on a cast iron stove. We kept our dishes & pantry outside back in those days. Heck, the bathroom and smokehouse were out there too. My grandma taught me to sew, make soap, and cook. She believed in a well rounded man. I believe that if you get up from the table hungry and not satisfied then there is something wrong with the cooking lol. If the food didn't make you feel good and you haven't enjoyed your meal then there is definitely something wrong. Lastly. if your in a hurry to eat then your at the wrong house ! Cast iron doesn't hurry for anyone.
