bonnie’s dried pears
We have such an abundance of pears that we needed to do something with them. So we started making recipes and drying the rest in the food dehydrator. I wanted to share this simple technique with you, so you can make these healthy snacks for your family and friends. They are delicious! Add them to trail mix, cereal, put them in recipes, or just eat them plain. Enjoy!

How To Make bonnie’s dried pears
-
Step 1Make a "bath water" in a large bowl of one quart of water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Wash and core pears and cut into thin rings. (Bits and pieces can be dried, too.) Plunge the prepared pears in the bath water. Leave for a few minutes, then remove, shaking off the excess water.
-
Step 2Add the slices and any bits and pieces to the food dehydrator and dry according to the directions for your appliance.
-
Step 3Store the dried pears in a Ziploc bag in the fridge or freezer. Easy to do, and they taste great. Enjoy!
- Last Step: Don't forget to share! Post a picture of your finished recipe here and on your favorite social network. Don't forget to tag Just A Pinch and include #justapinchrecipes!
