- THE CHICKEN
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground corriander
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- THE YOGURT SAUCE
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt to taste
- TO SERVE
- 6 pita rounds, warmed
- chopped lettuce
- thinly sliced tomato
- sliced dill pickles or sliced cucumbers
How To Make air fryer chicken shwarama

Step 1Trim chicken thighs and slice into strips.

Step 2In a large bowl, whisk together canola oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices. Add chicken and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least several hours and up to overnight.

Step 3Next, in a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, oil, and garlic. Season with salt. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 4Preheat Air Fryer to 375 degrees

Step 5Air Fry for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through.

Step 6Serve on Warm Pita Bread with desired toppings.
