I am not sure where the name or the recipe came from, but it is delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients For connecticut pie

  • 1 1/4 c
    vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    lemon rind
  • 1 stick
    melted butter
  • PIE FILLING
  • 1 can
    1 lb. 14 oz can fruit cocktail, drained.
  • 1 pt
    sour cream
  • whipped cream with nutmeg

How To Make connecticut pie

  • 1
    Mix crust ingredients together and press into a 9" pie dish.
  • 2
    Mix the fruit cocktail and the sour cream together and place in pie shell. Bake 350 for 20 minutes. Chill.

    When ready to serve, top with whipped cream and nutmeg
