All I can say is that this frosting is "lick the bowl clean" good! Quick and easy, it will become your "go to" frosting recipe. A great basic recipe that you can use as a white frosting or add food coloring to meet your needs throughout the year.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 tablespoons milk or half and half
  • 1 1/2 sticks real butter, room temp.
  • 4 - 4 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons clear vanilla

How To Make vanilla butter cream frosting

  • Step 1
    Place butter, vanilla and milk in a mixing bowl. Sift 3 cups of confectioners' sugar directly into bowl with butter. Mix until well blended, scraping sides of bowl often. Sift and add additional confectioners' sugar until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Step 2
    Use as is, or use a few drops of food coloring to suit your needs.
