All I can say is that this frosting is "lick the bowl clean" good! Quick and easy, it will become your "go to" frosting recipe. A great basic recipe that you can use as a white frosting or add food coloring to meet your needs throughout the year.

Ingredients
- 4 1/2 tablespoons milk or half and half
- 1 1/2 sticks real butter, room temp.
- 4 - 4 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons clear vanilla
How To Make vanilla butter cream frosting

Step 1Place butter, vanilla and milk in a mixing bowl. Sift 3 cups of confectioners' sugar directly into bowl with butter. Mix until well blended, scraping sides of bowl often. Sift and add additional confectioners' sugar until the desired consistency is reached.

Step 2Use as is, or use a few drops of food coloring to suit your needs.
