All I can say is that this frosting is "lick the bowl clean" good! Quick and easy, it will become your "go to" frosting recipe.

A great basic recipe that you can use various flavorings in place of the vanilla (orange, lemon, etc.) or add food coloring to meet your needs.

How to Make Johnson's Bakery Butter Cream Frosting


  • 1Place butter and milk in a mixing bowl. Sift 2 cups of confectioners' sugar directly into bowl with butter. Mix until well blended. Sift and add additional confectioners' sugar until the desired consistency is reached. Scrape sides of bowl often.
