This is one of my Grandmothers recipes that can be changed to a lemon, or pineapple, or orange frosting by just a few simple changes.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter at room temp.
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 4 tablespoons cream or evaropated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make grandma delleplain butter frosting

Step 1Soften butter to room temp, and cream in remaining ingredients and continue creaming until mixture is well blended and fluffey.

Step 2This will cover the top and sides of two ( 8" ) layer cakes.

Step 3For LEMON FROSTING : add 1/2 teaspoon graded lemon rind and use lemon juice instead of vanilla.

Step 4For PINEALLLE FROSTING : use 1/3 cup crushed pineapple with juice instead of cream.

Step 5For ORANGR FROSTING : add 1 tablespoon grated orange rind and use orange juice instead of cream.
