A native of New York City and a 30 year veteran of the recording industry, Mike has two Grammy nominations, 23 platinum albums, and is a voting member of the National Recording Academy. Mike left NYC and now lives in the Smoky Mountains with his beloved wife, Rose.
In 2008, Mike lost 152 lbs. in 11 months and through God's grace beaten diabetes, carb addiction (that's a real thing), smoking, and most recently survived emergency open-heart surgery. No longer able to indulge in these wonderful dishes, he feeds his passion for cooking by enjoying his creations vicariously through others.
