Changes in the family when I was 11 put me in the kitchen. I had done some cooking and baking before that, making family dinner, treats, etc. Now I had to step up, and learn fast.
Home Ec in jr high, making tasty new dishes, was a turning point. I still have several of those recipes from class, on the same cards I wrote them, in my school-girl handwriting.
I never lost the love of creating in the kitchen. Now my sons and daughters love it, too, and we've already got my pre-school grandkids in the kitchen with Mom and Grandma!
So it's time to share my secrets ;)
