I grew up in a family that centered around the family table. We had many good cooks and were ethnically diverse. I have never been "formally" trained, but had a love of cooking for as long as I can remember. I worked in a restaurant for many years. Starting when I was 16, I worked my way up from dishwasher to cook. All I knew was I loved being around food service. Most of the recipes I post are family recipes passed down from my Mother and other relatives. Some are learned from the restaurant (Golden Teapot Inn in Utica, NY) and others are of my own making. I hope everyone enjoys.
