When I was younger and had small children, I was left by myself to raise 3 children on a very limited income. So to make my budget stretch I could only afford the bare necessities - nothing prepared or packaged. It became a challenge for me to come up with recipes that my kids would enjoy. Today I am a seasoned cook and love it. It's my creative side. Nothing makes me happier than cooking for others and sharing great times in my kitchen. All my children cook. One good tradition passed on.
