Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup butter, cold
- MARSHMALLOW LAYER
- 5-6 cups marshmallows, mini or as many as you want
- TOPPING
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup corn syrup, light
- PEANUT LAYER
- 1-2 cup peanuts, salted and without skins
- OPTIONAL CARAMEL LAYER
- 1 cup melted caramel (optional) drizzled over top
How To Make salted nut bars

Step 1Mix the crust ingredients together until crumbly and pat into 9x13 pan. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees, until brown. Sprinkle marshmallows on the hot crust and return to the oven until marshmallows are puffy, check in 2 minutes and watch carefully. Remove from oven and place on cooling rack.

Step 2Melt the chocolate+ butterscotch chips with the 1/2 cup butter and syrup over medium heat. Cook until everything is well blended and pour over the marshmallows.

Step 3Sprinkle salted nuts on top. Let cool. If you are using caramel drizzle it on and let cool.
