I grew up in small-town Texas as a child. My parents divorced when I was 6 y/o, and my younger brother and I lived with Mom through adolescent years. Mom owned a bar, so she was never home. What's a kid to do for food? Learn to cook it himself. I've been experimenting in the kitchen since I've been 10 years old, and it's led to a vast array of homegrown recipes, all with Southern influences.
