I'm a single mom, ICU RN, with a small farm. I've always loved to cook. I learned my basics some years ago when I worked in a Jewish delicatessen in Houston, TX. I've tried to build on that experience through the years. I aspire to improve my baking; I do okay with yeast breads, but cookies tend to be a challenge...I end up with at least one sacrificial batch as burnt offerings to the kitchen gods!
