Fresh and Fruity Easter Desserts

Fresh and Fruity Easter Desserts

For my family, the dessert portion of a holiday menu is as much of a priority as the main meal. Fresh and fruity Easter desserts are always a big hit. You, too, can brighten up your table with any of these Blue Ribbon dessert recipes.

“This is a fast, light, and easy dessert that is great for entertaining,” is how Thomas Bohne (Joppa, MD) explains his Balsamic Strawberries With Honey Vanilla Ricotta recipe.

With a unique flavor, this cool and creamy dessert is as beautiful as it tastes.

Balsamic vinegar and strawberries are a fantastic flavor combination. Ricotta cheese is whipped to a cream consistency, sweetened with honey, and just a touch of vanilla is added. It’s a very impressive dessert.

I love the texture and intense flavor of Teresa G.’s Creamy Lemon Cheesecake.

“This is the creamiest, most delicious lemon cheesecake, I promise,” thinks Teresa. “Everyone who has tasted it has loved it.”

Adding heavy whipping cream to the cheesecake batter is something I don’t usually do. From now on, I will because it adds extra creaminess to the cheesecake. On top is a delicious homemade lemon curd that gives an extra pop of lemon flavor.

Fresh Blueberry Pie is one of my seasonal favorites,” shares Tara Guthrie (Sanford, NC). “Be sure to use fresh blueberries, not frozen. I also use a Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust to save time.”

Blueberries are delicious in almost anything, and this pie is right up there! It’s baked perfectly with just the right balance of sweetness from the sugar and tartness from the blueberries and lemon.

A milk wash and sprinkle of sugar on the crust give the pie a special touch. It will trick people into thinking it took you all afternoon to make this fresh blueberry pie.

“I wanted to make a fresh fruit dessert, so I decided I would try to put together a peach dessert,” says Becky Hudgins (Joshua, TX). “My hubby tasted the icing and said he could just eat a bowl and be satisfied.”

Becky’s husband is right. This Southern Belle Peach Cake is pretty amazing.

The cake itself is moist with little bits of fresh peaches inside. The sweet and creamy homemade frosting has excellent peach flavor.

“This little place in the mountains has wonderful Bananas Foster Cream Pie,” reveals Sheri Mullins (Midland, TX). “But when I went the last time, it wasn’t on the menu. This one is pretty close.”

Rich and decadent, this pie blends bananas foster with a banana cream pie. It’s delish!

Sherri gives the option to use whipped cream or meringue on top. Either is delicious, but I opted to make a meringue because it makes the pie slightly more elegant. You can enjoy this warm, but chilling before serving will make slicing easier.

Whether hosting an Easter brunch or a more formal sit-down dinner, these fresh and fruity Easter desserts are a tasty way to end the meal. Happy Pinching!
